With that decision behind us, we decided to take advantage of our large (for a duplex) yard and plant a garden! We woke up this morning and took a trip to Home Depot to get started. We bought some soil-enricher-stuff, a few more seeds (we bought most of our seeds at the grocery store the night before), some peat pots to get the more fragile plants started before transferring them into the garden after the last frost, an inside pot for my herbs, big and small shovels and rakes, and gloves!
With all of our tools ready, we got to work. Today we just worked on getting the soil ready to plant. We shoveled through it, raked it to flatten it out, and mixed in the soil-additive-stuff. I also planted all of the potted plants. It was so fun because I got te see tons of those earthworms and things that I haven't seen for years! The weather was beautiful, and it's got me praying that it doesn't snow again all year! However, living in Utah probably means that we'll have another snow in march, and then most of April will be beautiful except for one crazy week where it goes from sunny one day, to cloudy, to rainy, to snowy, and back to sunny.

Myles got this area ready to plant some flowers. we did similar things to the garden areas minus the rocks.
I love gardening! I'll post more pictures soon!
